Different Strokes helps stroke survivors of working age to optimise their recovery, take control of their own lives and regain as much independence as possible by offering ‘rehabilitative services’, information and advice, help and support to both survivor and carers.

In a situation of constant change with benefits, caring and health the group seeks to keep carers informed and up-to-date. A chance to share good and bad experiences and help one another with advice and suggestions.

A friendship/support group for those with dementia and their carers. Fortnightly outings take place on Thursdays and are great fun for all. There is also a ‘Chillout Art’ session for carers every Monday morning in Pott Row. This group offers young people opportunities to meet with others in similar situations in a sociable environment where they can relax, eat together and catch up while also having targeted sessions based on help with CVs, training, guest speakers, wellbeing, advice and information, benefit and housing help and leisure activities.Find out more
